learning to rest
one day retreat
Each winter, Avreya offers a one-day retreat located in a beautiful and warm space in midtown Toronto. Please join Allison Rietta and yoga therapist Dana Chapman for an opportunity to restore, replenish and relax. We will learn how to re-establish the balance within ourselves as we focus on what it means to rest our bodies and our minds. Modern-day lifestyles no longer include time for us to rest—really rest. And December can be one of the busiest months of the year! This year, plan ahead and set aside one day just for you to support your well-being and to avoid overwhelm and exhaustion. In this one-day retreat, learn what true rest means and how you can support yourself in December and throughout the new year.

testimonials
The Learning To Rest retreat was exactly what I needed during a busy time of the year and it gave me the space I needed to turn my attention inward and feel grounded again. Not only did I deeply rest, but I also left feeling that I had both reset and recharged. The day was thoughtfully planned to incorporate and balance our time in gentle yoga poses, mindful activities and meditation among other things. Having the option to remain silent for portions of the day gave me permission to truly listen to my body and heart and then take care of myself in meaningful ways. Listening to Allison’s beautiful music, played on Tibetan Singing Bowls, was an amazing restorative experience and I am grateful she shared that gift with all of us.
