Prana Flow Group Class
when the breath is steady, the mind is steady
Prana Flow is taught classically (Hatha) with a therapeutic focus, and explores healthy movements and alignment of the spine and joints. The yoga sequences are arranged with purpose and offers adaptation that allow both experienced students and newcomers to work at their own speed.
Allison’s yoga lineage is that of Sri. T. Krishnamacharya, considered to be one of the greatest yoga masters of the 20th century. One of Krishnamacharya’s great innovations in yoga was his emphasis on combining conscious breathing (pranayama) with the practice of yogic physical postures (asana-s), thus allowing the yoga practice to become a ‘holistic’ one.
The emphasis on breath is also very present in Prana Flow classes, along with elements of chanting, visualization and meditation, thus making it not only a physical and mental practice, but an emotional and spiritual one, too. Experience how conscious and focused breathing helps open the body and calm the mind as you move fluidly from one posture to the next.

testimonials
As someone who has practised yoga and meditation off-and-on over many years, I was motivated to recommit to both as a result of my experience in Allison‘s Prana Flow and meditation classes, not only because of the superior quality of her instruction, but her supportive and encouraging approach to both disciplines. I also appreciated the intentionally small class size, which provided the opportunity for individual attention, whereby specific poses could be “tailored” to the ability of each participant. Most important of all is Allison’s positive and holistic lifestyle perspective, which I carried outside the studio and inspired me to expand my knowledge of complementary health-related practices which continue to enhance my life. Thank you, Allison!

I've been taking Prana Flow classes with Allison for several months. Allison is a very warm and wonderful person. She usually starts class by checking in on how everyone is feeling that morning, adapting the practice accordingly. Practicing Flow yoga has helped me to relieve the stress of a demanding job and focus on how I feel.
