monthly global satsang
with father charles ogada
On the first Sunday of each month, join us in sharing in Father Charles’ light, wisdom and love. Uniting as one and expanding into the boundless, compassionate heart of wisdom is one of the great lessons the current crisis is teaching us. By resting in stillness, letting go of what is not true, and engaging in prayer together, we are helping each other and the world.
What is a Satsang?
In Sanskrit, “Satsang” means to associate with the highest truth. It is a gathering of people, seeking to discover the truth of who they are. It is an exchange of words and concepts. It is usually in the presence of someone who has discovered the truth for themselves—in this case, Father Charles Ogada. Simply being in the presence of a Satsang, with the focus on the heart, can be an extremely uplifting experience.
Our monthly Satsangs often begin with a meditation guided by Fr. Charles. We are very fortunate to have Fr. Charles lead us in a way that gives us the chance to drop our usual way of thinking, and go deeper into a joyful presence. There is always time for a Q+ A session with the participants and—of course—you can always count on a beautiful story or two from Fr. Charles!
More about Father Charles
Father Charles Ogada was born and raised in Nigeria and began to have unusual spiritual thinking from his childhood. After excelling as a top student at school, he decided to leave a potential career in medicine to pursue his work of loving service to humanity as a Catholic priest. Challenging religious conventions again and again, he brings a unique blend of Christianity and the Advaita Vedanta philosophy of Hinduism, as displayed in his 2011 book The I Am Principle – The Christ Within. In addition to all of these accomplishments, his study of a wide variety of faith traditions combined with deep spiritual insight have led him to a personal commitment to interfaith understanding.
